PRECIOUS METAL RECOVERY
IT IS IMPERATIVE TO SEGREGATE THE PCBS IN LOW, MEDIUM AND HIGH GRADE BASED ON THE DENSITY OF GOLD.
At ERPL, we plan to segregate the PCBs from the waste stream at various stages of recycling and accumulate it in a safe storage place to eventually send it for final recovery.
It is imperative to segregate the PCBs in low, medium and high grade based on the density of gold parts per million present in the component as, the higher the grade of PCB, the more feasible it becomes to send it for processing, considering the transport and other variable costs involved.
Alternatively, we are also working with NML (National Metallurgical Laboratory) for their collaboration in setting up a laboratory equipped to recover the precious metals contained in PCB scrap in an environmentally friendly manner. Until the research and development is concluded, the precious metal recovering activity will be outsourced.
